Learning the techniques of the old masters for marble carving and finding a new medium to transfer clay into, the sparkling rock that has been used to decorate and memorize histories great figures, stories and deities.

Clay workshop from a live model was a great opportunity to hone my eye and to work in sight size technique. Creating this third life size model where the figure was lined up to the clay and the edges were met, then the shapes and depths of the valleys were found.
An Overall Success
Studying abroad has become part of my favorite if not most memorable times in life. The opportunity to study classical sculpture in the heart of the Renaissance and be surrounded by amazing works of art and architecture adorning squares, churches and museums was an unbelievable adventure.
